When Killer Mike and El-P announced their joint Run The Jewels project we, like every other hip hop fan, eagerly awaited what these two talented guys would come up with. The self-titled debut has so far one of our albums of the year with exceptional beats and solid rhymes all the way through. Run The Jewels was released as a free download (get it here) with various vinyl and CD options available via Fool’s Gold Records. In conjunction with a new five-date European tour from the duo, Big Dada Recordings have announced that they’ll re-release a Run The Jewels with previously unheard new material on November 4th. As with the Fool’s Gold version, it will be free of charge as a digital download, with the additional songs obviously, but you will also be able to get your hands on a deluxe vinyl package too.
The tour itself is a short one unfortunately and covers five cities in eight days, the dates and ticket links are below. If their performance at Pitchfork Festival (watch it below) is anything to go it should be a great live performance; fingers crossed that they bring the live instruments.
